On anything under a fortnight, the number of internal flights matters more than the nightly rate.

Relative positions within this group, not absolute prices. What a trip costs depends far more on the level you travel at and the number of moves than on which country you choose.

Why the cheapest country loses
A ten-night Ugandan trip with four internal transfers and three camps can cost more than a ten-night Kenyan trip with one flight and two camps, despite lower rates at every camp.
The joins are 15 to 25 per cent of a typical trip. Choosing a country on nightly rate while ignoring how many times you will move is the commonest budgeting error we see.
The comparison worth asking for
Not "what does Kenya cost" but "what does the trip I have described cost in Kenya, and in Botswana, all in".
